After buying a small cage from Hagen/Vision, and struggling to find a cage that would help reduce food and feather litter from my three cockatiels, I bought the L12 Hagen/Vision cage. I was 37 weeks pregnant, and it was incredibly easy to assemble by myself. I've been using this cage for about three weeks now (still pregnant) and it's light enough for me to use, and roomy enough for three cockatiels. A previous poster commented on what a hassle it is to deal with a litter tray that does not detach, but I completely disagree. All you have to do is unsnap the bottom of the cage, place it to the side with the birds STILL inside and sit it atop a surface that you don't mind getting poop on (newspaper will do), and then take the bottom tray and empty the litter and clean the grill. With the removable trays, you get litter and poop that falls over the sides of it and onto the base of the cage. You don't have a problem with this cage at all. I could probably fit 4 cockatiels comfortably in this cage - it's roomy and reduced the amount of feathers and litter that we get in our kitchen, where we keep them during the winter time. We also bought the night cage cover - I recommend it. We leave it on during the day with one side down, just to control the amount of feathers/down that floats out into our kitchen.
