This is an awsome cage for my lovebird. It is very attractive, easily cleaned, the wheels make it easy to clean around it. BUT if you have a larger bird, or a more adventuresome bird, you would need to put a clip on the door.
It opens just by lifting it. I would never put my green cheek conure in this cage without a clip, he would be out in minutes. The lovebird isn't strong enough to lift the large door, but anything much bigger would be.
Other than that it is an awesome cage, and we are very pleased with it. You can't get a better cage for the money.
